A Sitting Room Fit for Audrey Hepburn

My husband and I recently purchased a new home, our forever home, with plenty of room to grow into. We had an extra room that didn’t really serve a purpose so my creative ideas quickly started to flow and I decided to turn it into a sitting room with some Tiffany and Company and Audrey Hepburn flair.

Some nights after a busy work day I want to seek solace in a peaceful space with beautiful surroundings and I’m so pleased with how this room turned out. We are still doing tile work around the fireplace and once that is complete my room will be 100% done.

I pulled inspiration from many places while putting this space together and I thought I would share with you:

1.) In 2012 I attended Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway and I’ve held onto the playbook since then by packing it away, now it’s on full display on the wall.

2.) Our engagement and wedding photographer took a beautiful photo of my Tiffany diamond on top of a few of those beautiful blue boxes and like the playbook it was kept packed in a box. Now it too is displayed on the wall.

3.) I can’t rave enough about Lana Moes and her beautiful illustrations. My parents were kind enough to gift me with two of her prints, one a beautiful picture of a storefront and the other of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I love lounging in my chaise chair and admiring both stunning prints. Here is her Etsy shop and you can follow her on Instagram @lanasartstudio

4.) Two of my dear friends and I made a fun girl’s weekend trip to Boston and made a stop at Ikea where I came across the large canvas print of Audrey. This was nearly two years ago I purchased it and now I’m happy to report it has a home overlooking all the fabulous ladies who will join me for cocktails in my sitting room.

5.) The Tiffany Blue ottoman which serves as storage space too I found at TJ Maxx in Augusta, it may not be spot on for the Tiffany Blue Pantone 1837 but it’s close enough that it’s been a terrific addition to the room.

I love bringing different style influences and ideas together and seeing the finished product. This is a perfect room to take a snooze in or curl up and get lost in the pages of a great book. Do you have a special room in your home? Do you have a room with some Tiffany inspiration? If so, drop a comment or send me an email, I’d love to hear about it and even see photos.
