It’s a new year, full of new possibilities. I have never been big on resolutions, I tend to think it limits you! But I’m always open to having more discipline in my life in certain areas.
I have been out of college for almost 6 years now, when I graduated in 2008 with my B.A. in journalism. However, beginning on Monday I will become a student once again. I am doing an online program through Southern New Hampshire University to get my M.A. in Communication with a specialization in Public Relations. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly nervous. It’s been awhile since I had to write a lengthy paper and receive a grade. It’s no surprise I am a bit of a perfectionist, so anything below a B+ is traumatizing for me.
To help ease the slight feeling of being overwhelmed that keeps creeping up, I have vowed to stay super organized and on top of all my tasks. This is where our favorite jewlery store comes into play. They have a lovely, 2014 planner/diary that I have decided is a necessity to keep me on track with my assignments. I will be taking 2 courses per 11 week segments so things will move quickly. Not only will this help me stay organized, but it’s in our favorite signature color so it’s great to look at too.
Tell me, have you set resolutions? I would love to say I have vowed to buy 3 Tiffany items a month, but I don’t think my savings and checking account would appreciate that! Ha.
